What Prepaid Cards Work With Zelle?
Zelle is a digital payments service that enables easy, fast and secure digital payments. It’s much faster than mailing a check or waiting for a wire transfer to go through. Many banks and credit unions are Zelle Network partners, so if your bank offers Zelle, you can send and receive money without ever leaving the app. But unfortunately, not every prepaid card works with Zelle.
Cards That Work with Zelle
Fortunately, some prepaid cards are part of the Zelle ecosystem and offer the ability to send and receive payments. These include:
- Green Dot Prepaid Visa Card: With this card, you can send and receive up to $500 per day or $3,000 per month. There’s no credit check required and you can set up a direct deposit to have your paycheck sent right to your card.
- NetSpend Prepaid Visa Card: This card lets you customize your spending limits so you can budget better. You can also manage your card with the NetSpend app and set up direct deposits to make it even easier to manage.
- Movi Give Prepaid Visa Card: This card is perfect for parents who want to give their kids an allowance. You can set up the card to auto-draft payments and keep track of spending on the app.
Cards That Do Not Work with Zelle
Unfortunately, there are some prepaid cards that do not offer the ability to use Zelle to send or receive money. These include:
- Walmart MoneyCard
- American Express Serve
- Target REDcard Prepaid Debit Card
Before you sign up for a prepaid card, make sure it’s compatible with Zelle just to be sure. That way, you’ll know for sure that you’ll be able to use it to send and receive payments.
